Google Reader, Google News and RSS/Atom notifications

Gmail Notifier Pro supports connecting to Google Reader, Google News and any RSS/Atom news source. When new news items arrive, a popup notification will be displayed. Gmail Notifier Pro is only Windows application needed as notifier for these services.

It is possible to read the full content using Gmail Notifier Pro, but the news item can also be opened in the web browser. Multiple accounts are supported. Google Reader uses Google accounts for authentication. When launching Google Reader from Gmail Notifier Pro, the automatic account sign in can be used (enabled by default).

RSS/Atom

For Google News and RSS/Atom news sources no account is specified. Google News can easily be used by specifying a region and news topic.

RSS and Atom is commonly used on Internet for reading news and blog headlines. The icon on the left is often used to indicate that a RSS feed is available. A RSS feed is accessed by specifying its URL.
