Gmail Notifier Pro 5.3.2 brings changes to the automatic Google Gmail sign in behavior and Google Calendar authentication.
The automatic sign in feature is no longer supported by Google, and because of this the behavior in Gmail Notifier Pro has changed. When launching Gmail in the web browser, you will have to enter the password. Gmail Notifier Pro will by default put the Gmail account password in the Windows Clipboard for 15 seconds. This makes it possible to do a fast Ctrl+V to paste the password and Sign in to Gmail without typing the entire password. You will no longer see the "The page you requested is invalid" in these cases.
Please note that it's possible to disable the feature to keep the password in Clipboard for 15 seconds. You will find the setting for this in the Options dialog, Web Browser section.
If the feature to perform fully automatic sign in will be re-added by Google in the future, it will of course be supported by Gmail Notifier Pro.
You can download the software from the Gmail Notifier Pro Download page
Gmail Notifier Pro has also been successfully tested on Microsoft Windows 10. Please see the article Gmail Notifier Pro on Windows 10

Google has changed the authentication procedure that is required to perform an automatic sign in when launching Gmail in the web browser. This currently results in an error message saying "The page you requested is invalid" when trying to launch Gmail from Gmail Notifier Pro.
I will investigate if there is a new way to implement the automatic sign in, that works with the new Google authentication. Please note that this change affect all applications that performs automatic sign in, not only Gmail Notifier Pro.
A temporary workaround is to change the the settings for sign in in the Options dialog of Gmail Notifier Pro, Web Browser section:
- Workaround for users with a single Gmail account: Select the option "Use current browser session"
- Workaround for users with multiple Gmail accounts: Select "Logout previous browser session". Please note that this will require you to manually type your password

Facebook recently changed their policy about allowing third-party applications to access information from Facebook accounts. All detailed information (like notifications, stream updates, friend requests) is now blocked with the following motivation:The permission is only granted for apps building a Facebook-branded client on platforms where Facebook is not already available.
For example, Android and iOS apps will not be approved for this permission. In addition, Web, Desktop, in-car and TV apps will not be granted this permission.
From now on, Facebook will prevent desktop applications like Gmail Notifier Pro from accessing information that would be needed to display useful notifications. Please note that this isn't specific to Gmail Notifier Pro, as it applies to all third party applications connecting to Facebook.
Unless Facebook changes their new policy, the support for Facebook notifications will unfortunately be removed from Gmail Notifier Pro.
